- Tunnels & Metro
Tunnel and metro systems require communication networks that function flawlessly despite moisture, dust, vibrations, and limited maintenance access.
Our Fiber Optic Cables for tunnel usage have FE180 & PH120 certifications according to IEC 60331 and EN 50200 standards. They are also certified as CPR Euro-class B2ca – s1a,d0,a1 from Notified Body according to EN 50575 standard.
As metro systems modernize with digital technologies—real-time monitoring, centralized command platforms, predictive maintenance, and IP-based CCTV—the need for high-bandwidth and low-latency optical networks becomes even more critical. Our Türkiye-manufactured cables are fully compliant with international railway and metro standards (including EN and IEC requirements), making them ideal for new installations, system upgrades, and long-term infrastructure expansion projects.
Every cable is designed with halogen-free, low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) compounds to enhance passenger safety and meet stringent railway fire regulations. This fire behavior is essential for confined spaces where smoke density and toxicity directly impact evacuation and emergency response. Beyond safety, our cables deliver stable optical performance across long distances, supporting signaling networks, SCADA systems, train-to-ground communication, PA/VA systems, emergency telephones, passenger information displays, and advanced control automation.
Mechanical reliability is achieved through options such as corrugated steel tape armoring, glass yarn reinforcement, and UV-resistant outer jackets for sections exposed to the elements. Their construction allows consistent performance in areas affected by pressure shocks from passing trains, microvibrations from rail movement, and condensation from varying underground temperatures.
