The I-V(BN)H Indoor Tight Buffer Cable is designed for indoor fiber optic installations requiring high flexibility, flame retardancy and reliable mechanical performance. Built with a tight-buffered fiber structure, aramid yarn reinforcement and a halogen-free LSZH jacket, this cable ensures safe and stable operation in office buildings, residential complexes, commercial facilities and industrial indoor environments.
Its compact and flexible design supports rapid installation in riser shafts, trays, ducts and cabinets, while offering excellent durability for patching, pigtails and short interconnects.
The I-V(BN)H design focuses on ease of handling, safety and stable optical transmission in indoor atmospheres. Key performance features include:
Tight-buffered optical fibers for easy termination and connectorization
Strength members providing tensile reinforcement and mechanical stability
LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) outer jacket with excellent flame-retardant properties
High bend performance when equipped with G.657.A1/A2 fibers — ideal for tight indoor routing
Very smooth stripping and quick field termination, compatible with standard indoor connectors
No gel components, ensuring clean handling and zero mess during installation
Low-smoke, non-toxic behavior in case of fire, suitable for high-occupancy areas
Its mechanical and fire-safety qualities make it suitable for both backbone segments within buildings and short patch applications.
I-V(BN)H Indoor Tight Buffer Cables are used across a wide range of indoor network environments, including:
Vertical risers and horizontal distribution in multi-floor buildings
Telecommunication room to patch panel interconnections
Indoor FTTB deployments requiring safe and flexible cabling
Equipment racks, cabinets and termination boxes
Pigtails and patch cord manufacturing
Data center indoor pathways where halogen-free performance is required
Industrial indoor automation networks where stringent smoke and flame demands apply
The tight-buffer design makes the cable ideal for field termination, splicing and short-distance patching.
The cable provides several advantages for installers and network operators:
Exceptional flexibility for routing around corners and tight indoor pathways
Highly reliable indoor flame performance, meeting building safety regulations
Simple and fast termination, suitable for field connectors or factory pre-termination
Aramid yarn reinforcement ensures solid tensile behavior without compromising cable softness
LSZH jacket produces minimal smoke and zero halogen release
Available in singlemode or multimode versions, supporting a variety of indoor layouts
Stable optical performance across typical indoor temperature ranges
The combination of tight-buffered fibers and LSZH sheathing enhances safety without compromising handling characteristics.
